October 2001 - News
October 30, 2001 | Well, as per everyone's
request ... I've started the design of my "new" website. HAHA, funny this is,
I can be in the "design" process for months ... and just keep saying "I'm
working on it" ... haha ... well, I suppose I need to show a "working"
prototype of it so that you all don't tell me that I'm lying. Here it is, the New Ero's Madhouse ....
So what did you think? Send me a mail and let me know what I should change/make better. Besides that comes the regular updates: Looking forward to: The day my "NEW" website goes online. New Joke of the Week Movie Reviews: K-PAX |
October 26, 2001 | I updated the Webmaster
Section - Added about 15 new comedy pictures.
How much does it suck that Ameritech is going to SCREW us in the 847 area code. Starting January 5, 2002 - EVERY call coming from 847 or the new 224 area code that is overlaid will REQUIRE the entire 11-digit code. So you'll have to call 1-xxx-xxx-xxxx even if your calling your next door neighbor. That's going to suck, because you then have to change ALL your speed-dial settings, and then remember which area code certain stores/friends are in. (Reminds me of a Seinfeld episode) P.S. > Don't try to open your CD-RW with the "emergency hole" when it's spinning. You'll hear horrible sounds and possibly smell something burning. |
October 25, 2001 | GOD, I'm so sick of all this
XP crap!! Who the hell does Microsoft think they are this
time?? I mean, c'mon ... Calling Microsoft and telling them your CD-KEY and getting one
in return. Or they'll shut you off. "The only critics I know of are the competitors who don't want the Windows platform to move forward," - Gates said that, well, here is 1 critic who thinks your going too far! With the integration of everything, I think he's just trying to put many little companies out on the street. Let me just say, that I had the Beta Build
of XP ... and I didn't think it was that special. It seemed like what ME is to 98 ...
but for Win2k. Microsoft says that the reason they put in
the registration-calling idea is to stop piracy of their software. Well, LIKE THEY NEED
MORE MONEY! Gates prob just got upset at loosing the "richest man in the US"
title to the Kid of the Wal-Mart guy. So he needs to make some cash back. Looking forward to: The day that someone cracks the XP registration process and we can all use XP the way it should be - Free for End-Users : Business Pay for use. Cool Links: Poo Game -
Kinda sick, but shockingly fun. |
October 23, 2001 | I think I've taken this
before, but according to TheSpark!
Death Test I will die on:
April 5, 2056 at the age of 76 with a 20% chance of it being Cancer!! |
October 23, 2001 | Let me Just say that I think
the xBox is over-hyped. Yah yah, I was
looking forward to it about a year ago. Thought it was guna be the coolest thing.
But yesterday I went over to Toys-R-Us
(the R is backwards) and got to see the Oddworld preview or whatever game it was. It
wasn't anything special. I've seen much better graphics in Tribes2 (I don't play it much, but the
graphics rule!) and it prob has just as much gameplay as Banjo Kazooie (I played that
forever!). Ok, OK, so maby there will be cool games also ... Like Halo ... but I don't
think they are going to utalize the power they have in that box. And furthermore, a year
ago it was impressive, today ... computer I believe has surpassed it.
Looking forward to: Winning an xBox in the TacoBell contest. Yah, it's redundant to bash xBox then look forward to winning one. Well, winning one, and paying for one are 2 entirely different things. Site Updates: New Joke of the Week Movie Reviews: Bandits |
October 18, 2001 | Everyone best head over to Taco Bell - And try to Win a FREE XBoX!! They are giving away 1 per
store!!! Last day to get a ticket is October 28th, so you got 10 days.
I'm also making a Flash page ... Filled with the various Comedic Flash files I come across. Check that out, and I'll post when I update it! Looking Forward To: Warcraft III - New screenshot almost every day, they are just wetting my appetite ... hmm, I want some Taco Bell! Site Updates: Movie Review: Exit Wounds |
October 16, 2001 | So, I'm finally getting my
DSL back today! It's been 7 months since I've had it, and MANY MANY calls to various
companies. I had a "missing loop makeup" situation going on after being dumped
by Telocity/Northpoint and as far as I could tell none of the ISP's cared about re-hooking it
up, prob because it requires a little extra work. Then I stumbled upon Speakeasy, I really don't care 1 bit if they suck or not, but they give a static IP and a 600/150 connection for $50 bux ... about the same as I had 7 months ago. So I am happy! I also bought "Lip Stick" (the name It will be called) ... which is my new Pool Cue. Oh yah, and I now have an iridescent (sp?) shirt! (inside joke, sorry) Here is a link, not the coolest, but the girls might like it: Looking Forward to: My DSL from SpeakEasy!!! Site Updates: New Joke of the Week Movie Reviews: Corky Romano |
October 9, 2001 | I finally got onto ICQ 2002b
... It's nothing special, the only cool thing is that it saves your contact list on the ICQ
servers ... so wherever you are, you can login to ICQ and have your list. Other than
that, it's really nothing special. If you are using my IrCQ thingy, the WWPager isn't working, ICQ has gone through many design changes, and they say they are aware of the problem and are working on it, whatever that means. haha. Everyone has asked me today if I heard the Sonic Boom - In case you don't know what that is, click here - Well, the answer is, I was watching a movie, and heard a loud noise. I thought it was the stupid lady who lives above me (they fight a lot) dropping something big. It wasn't until this morning when I heard that it happened around 3pm that I put it together that what I heard was the Sonic Boom. And in case you don't know what I'm talking about, go here. Here are a few good links for you all: Looking Forward to: Civilization III - It was supposed to be out the 1st of October, but was delayed. I've wanted this game for a while, and can't wait for it to come out! The website isn't really the best. Site Updates: New Joke of the Week Movie Reviews: Someone Like You, Serendipity |
October 5, 2001 | In case any of you are
thinking of making the horrible dreadful upgrade to ICQ 2001b (Alpha) ... DON'T!!! It
has a limited number of available users, and therefore, you get screwed! I've been
trying to connect for about 30 minutes now, and can't ... so wait until the beta comes out ...
(it does look cool though)

October 4, 2001 | Wow, Still didn't go to the
theatre, I was going to go see Zoolander, but that fell through. I think my new movie
day is going to be Saturday, so I might change my update day to Tuesdays. I don't have a new Movie to post, because "The Mummy Returns" just came out on DVD and that's what I watched. That movie is really cool. Check out this link and this link, they are 2 really awesome things. If you haven't been watching TNN since October 1st, you'd better start, from 8am to Midnight, October 1 - 5, they are playing Star Trek The Next Generation Episodes, they are picking the best out of the 180+ episodes. It's hard to leave my house because one starts and it's "a good one" ... so I want to watch it. I've only been able to see about 8 episodes in the past few days ... wow, that's 8 hours of STTNG!! I love it!! I'm going to now post this every time: Looking forward to: Duke Nukem Forever - Because of the new FAQ that was just posted. It looks like it's going to STOMP every FPS out there!
