The moon dipped into Earth's main shadow here when Earth passed
between it and the Sun; only 8% did not make it.  The moon is orange
because light rays from the Sun go thru Earth's atmosphere which
scatters the violet-end of the visible spectrum, thus, only allowing the
red-end to pass.
