The Whirlpool galaxy, M51, and a companion galaxy. This image is what
is considered "raw"; that is, there is absolutely no digital
enhancement. This image is what is on my negative and transferred
to a Kodak Photo CD by a photo lab. As you can see, digital enhancement
allows the picture to stand out better by enhancing the contrast,
zooming in, etc.
