The planet Uranus approaches the limits of naked-eye observing at mag 5.7 visibility. A finder chart helped pinpoint it, but it really was the greenish-blues that said "this is it!". This was digitally enhanced, but only to concentrate on enlarging the planet's image and hilighting it; on the print, it's only about 1/8" big. taken 08/02/97, f/6.3, ASA 100, 30sec, 12mm
